The Flow: From a Spark of Curiosity to a Permanent Home
For 23 years, I drove past a building just down the street from my home. I was always curious about it, drawn to its energy without truly knowing why. When the timing was right, the universe finally opened that door, and I began the journey of Bayan Ceramics in that original space. I thought that was the end of the story - a beautiful place to lease and grow.
But the universe had a larger manifestation in mind.
An unexpected opportunity arrived, inviting me to move from leasing to ownership. I’ll be honest: I didn’t think I could fall in love with another space as deeply as the one I had passed for two decades. But then I found 222 Lake Street. The moment I walked in, I didn’t just see a building; I saw my future life. I saw a sanctuary that could stand the test of time.
At 222 Lake Street, I am building more than a studio - I am creating a Third Place.
We all have our "First Place" (home) and our "Second Place" (work), but we often lack that vital "Third Place" - a soulful sanctuary where you can shed your titles and simply exist. As a mother, a wife, and a creative soul, I know how rare those spaces are. By purchasing this property, I am ensuring that Oak Park has a permanent home for healing, connection, and the tactile joy of clay.
What started as a 23-year curiosity has flowed into a permanent foundation. I can’t wait to welcome you home to our Third Place.
